Toombul Old Bulls – The Faithful
The over 40s competition is back again for season 20-21 With no Sunday Legends competition this year the competition will be even more competitive. The games are played once per month on a Sunday Commencing at 12.00 with the games being 35 overs per side.
Again this year there will be 2 divisions with a final played in March. The winner of the final then plays the winner of the Gold Coast Over 40s competition.
Our side over the last few season has consisted mainly of players playing in the Queensland Veterans Cricket Over 50s competition and have been more than competitive , winning the competition only 2 seasons ago.
Many of our players have represented Queensland at over 50s level and 5 of these have gone onto represent Australia in Internationals against Wales, England and New Zealand, Zimbabwe , West Indies and Sri Lanka . With World Cups now on offer for Over 50s and 60s – this is a great way to get back into cricket after a few years off and then push for Queensland and National selection in the 50s.
